There was a great little restaurant near me that served a wonderful variety of German and French dishes. It was sold and became an Italian eatery, unfortunately. I say that not because the new place is crummy—it’s really good—but because Italian food is so prevalent around here. This place was an oasis in a sea of pasta. Anyway, the owner started guest-cheffing at another local restaurant, offering “German Nights”once a month. These were so well attended and successful that there was talk among the owners of changing the whole menu and business identity. It never happened, but here’s the proposed solution: Exterior signs, menus, gift cards, flag, table tents for specials, and smock patches.
