I worked for Boston Lyric Opera for 4 years, designing direct mail, web site, posters, stationery, banners and all kinds of performance collateral. They first approached me when merging with Opera New England, a smaller, education and outreach company, and wanted a transitional identity to last 5 years. They wanted to demonstrate the value of the merger, reassure the Opera New England constituents of their value, and yet emphasize the big production live performances and storied history of Boston Lyric Opera. Here is the logotype I created for those purposes and some of the uses it was put to.
